OUR PASTOR -Kirk T. Houston, Jr.

Reverend Kirt T. Houston, Jr., a fourth generation Minister of the Gospel was licensed to preach the Good News on March 26, 2006 and Ordained September 8, 2012 at the Gethsemane Community Fellowship Baptist Church in Norfolk, VA. Under the tutelage of his parents, Reverend Dr. and Mrs. Kirk T. Houston, Sr., God began to develop the gifts and talents of Reverend Houston. At a tender age in the Hampton Roads Area of Virginia he has served at his church and in the surrounding Hampton Roads Community as a musician, mentor, ministry leader, preacher and teacher. 

Possessing a strong passion for people, Reverend Houston earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Norfolk State University in Norfolk, VA in May 2006.  During his tenure at Norfolk State, he was active in Campus Ministries, Student Government, and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. After completing undergraduate studies, Reverend Houston went on to prepare himself for ministry at the Palmer Theological Seminary in Pennsylvania where he obtained his Master of Divinity degree. In 2021 Rev. Houston became a board-certified Christian Counselor with the National Association of Christian Counselors.

For 10 years Reverend Houston faithfully led the Youth and Young Adult ministry, teaching and empowering students from elementary to college to live for Jesus Christ.  In 2022 Reverend Houston was called to serve as Senior Pastor at Antioch Baptist Church in Hampton, Virginia.   Reverend Houston is the proud Father of his two sons, Kirk T. Houston III (Tres) and Marc Francis Houston who inspires him daily to be a great man of God. He is excited about the future that God has in store for his life. Therefore, the Rev. Houston strives to fulfill God’s purpose, which is to inform, instruct, and inspire the children of God to live out the will of God!
